THESE ACTIVITIES LISTED BELOW ARE MANAGED BY VOLUNTEERS FOR THE BENEFIT OF CLUB MEMBERS. THEY ARE NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
Monday Walk
EVERY MONDAY throughout the year, come and discover easy to moderate walking paths in the area. It is a great way to explore while socializing. These 'drop in' walks last about an hour and are followed by coffee at a local café/bistro. Phone Steve 778 875 6657 or email |
Friday Hiking
EVERY FRIDAY from September to June while weather permits we will hike for 2-2.5 hours on trails that may include some hills or uneven ground. The hikes are moderate difficulty so please bring poles if you have them and a snack/water as we will take a 15 min break halfway for refreshments. Phone or text Sharon 250-808-2880 or email |
Cycling From April to September, weather permitting, we will be arranging cycle rides in different locations on a weekly basis on WEDNESDAY mornings. Check the calendar for venues and just turn up at the allotted time. Please remember to wear a helmet at all times! |
Book Share
Book club with a twist! This is an opportunity to get together with other book lovers and share books. The idea is to let others know about a great book you've read and loan it out if you are comfortable. We will be meeting the second Sunday of the month from October to June. Lunch Bunch Come lunch with us on the SECOND WEDNESDAY of each month from October to June. Sign up at the meeting or contact the Coordinator in advance for a reservation. Bocce
Bocce is played on a 'drop-in' basis EVERY WEDNESDAY from May until the end of September. It takes about 5 minutes to grasp the concept of the game and NO experience is necessary. Walk & Lunch
Takes place the third Saturday of the month from October to June. Lunch destinations will vary each month with the walk taking approximately 20-30 minutes each way.
